About Meisha
I began my "Quest for the West" in 2002. Hailing from the deep southern states of Georgia and Mississippi, I quickly realized that the traditional, southern lifestyle wasn’t for me. After applying for as many seasonal jobs as possible, I was offered the marketing assistant position at Arapahoe Basin. Site unseen, I took a leap of faith and moved to Summit County, CO.
That seasonal marketing assistant job at Arapahoe Basin quickly turned into a year round position and way of life. After three years at A-Basin, I was offered the Events and Upsell Marketing Manager position at Vail Mountain. At the time, Vail Mountain was the #1 ranked resort by readers of Ski Magazine. In my opinion, this position was the ultimate marketing job in the ski industry. In the fall of 2007, I noticed an opening at Park City Mountain Resort. It was time for a change, and Park City ended up being the perfect place for me. After 5 1/2 years working for Park City Mountain Resort managing everything from events and sponsorships to traditional marketing and public relations, it was once again time for a change.
In May of 2013, I created Meisha Lawson Marketing Services with the desire to serve clients with the same passion and dedication I had served my employers over the last 11 years. A career in the ski industry taught me that work and pleasure could mix. I created a job that allowed me to live the life I wanted while growing personally and professionally. My work is a healthy combination of retainer work for Utah-based tourism clients and project based project manager and strategy work. My goal for the future is to work toward more project-based project manager and strategy projects while maintaining the lifestyle I've built over the last several years.
Life isn't all about work! I live for the outdoors and international travel. My husband and I enjoy snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking and adventuring as much as possible. We've recently added a new baby to the family and look forward to introducing him to as many corners of the world as we can. This sorority girl from the University of Georgia has evolved into an adventurous professional enthusiastic about the future.
